Willie Wheeler

KENNEDALE -- Willie Truitt Wheeler went to be with his Lord at 2:32 P.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2009. Willie was born on Aug. 7, 1934, in Britton to Henry and Katie Wheeler. He was the oldest of six children and also had six half brothers and sisters from his Dad's previous marriage. He was deacon of Oakdale Baptist Church and faithfully served for over 30 years. Willie was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Faye Briggs. Survivors: He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 54 years, Margie Long Wheeler of Kennedale; daughter, Linda Norris and husband, Jack, of Fort Worth; son, Rick Wheeler and wife, Julie, of Kennedale; grandchildren, Jason Norris and wife, Jennifer, of Santo, Josh Norris of Rendon, Brandee Mathews and husband, Kris, of White Settlement and Gordon Shaw and wife, Nickei, of Cisco; great-grandchildren, Joel, Josiah and Jared Norris, Kaylee and Ty Mathews, Skyler and Riley Gardner, Austin, Drea and Gordon Shaw IV; brothers, Jack Wheeler of Alvarado and David Wheeler of Burleson; sisters, Kathy Hokett of Fort Worth and Sue Jenkins of Alvarado; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
