Wilma Faye Knutson

Wilma Faye Knutson, 89, passed away August 26, 2013 at Green Valley Nursing home in North Richland Hills, Texas. Memorial Service: 1:00 PM Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall Street, Grapevine. A private internment will take place in the Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery in Parker County. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any cancer charity. Wilma was born June 11, 1924 in Lohn, Texas, the daughter of Durwood Drisco and Lillie Leona Petty Woods. She is remembered to be an independent and hardworking woman, often sewing clothing for her family. Wilma enjoyed providing for her family by sewing clothing for others, working as a hairdresser and homemaker, working as a retail clerk for Gibson's in Sweetwater and working at the 4H Center in Brownwood. Wilma was married to Lonnie Knutson on June 29, 1942 and was preceded in death by Lonnie's passing on November 15, 1984. Survivors: Children: Larry Knutson of Wolfe City, Danny and Sandi Knutson of Mineral Wells, Linda Huff and Joe Holton of Colleyville; Grandchildren: Steffanie and husband Bobby Joseph, Michelle Brock, Teresa and husband Sam Price, Greg Knutson and wife Wendy, Carry Knutson and wife Sheryl and Caren Bowman and partner Carla Dagnel; Brothers and sisters: Otis and Delores Woods of Brownwood, Odell Cox of Abilene, Billy Norman and Billie Ruth Woods of Granbury, Carolyn and Bill Stone of Brownwood; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
